 Best case I've had November 4, 2008
I just got it in the mail today and I am very happy with it. Earlier, I had purchased a clear plastic case with a silicon lining which literally cracked as I put it on and soon after broke completely. This Joytron case feels very durable and is much, much thinner. The only negative is that it does not have anything covering the back like my old one did, though that part has a matte finish which would not scratch as much.
The finish of the case was unexpected, it has a soft rubbery feel, which according to the website is an outer coat of urethane paint.

There's not much to say. If you want to protect your DS from scratches or simply change the color for variety's sake, then puchase a Joytron System Skin Case. They fit well, come off easily, and they do look nice.
Don't be "suckered in" by overly flattering reviews for this product. When I received my Joytron skin, there was a 1 page write up saying that if I go online and write up 5 "very positive" reviews I'd be eligible for a free Joytron Skin. What you have to do is write up the 5 "very positive" reviews on 5 different sites, email Joytron the links to your sites, and if they approve your reviews, you'd get credit for a free Joytron skin.
Now I realize that some of the flattering reviews I've read before my purchase were most likely inspired by the free skin offer.
Very simply, if you want a skin for protection or for a color sprucing, the Joytron skin will be very suitable.
Remember, the Joytron skin is for "scratch" protection. It is NOT for "shock" protection. Perhaps "Nerf Armor" or another product will be suitable for "shock" protection. Also, if you have a Joytron skin on your DS, the Nerf Armor will NOT fit. Now you know.......

I bought this product thinking that it was going to be the most awesome NDS case ever considering all of the glowing reviews and high marks. I have to admit that the case itself is attractively true-to-color (compared to its picture), the feel is pleasantly smooth to the touch and the case is light. It adds a little bit of bulk, but not so much that it's annoyingly noticeable. It is made up of two parts, the frontplate which clips onto the top "flap" and the, backplate that clips onto the bottom "flap". The plates do not cover the hinge area of your NDS.
For my set of plates, the top plate fits perfectly, but the bottom plate does not fit. It is too small and the ridges on the backplate that are supposed to clip over the edges of the DS don't quite reach the edge and push into the side of my DS, leaving unsightly marks. Also, the color is not actually a part of the plastic. It is painted onto the plastic plates, so any scratches will cause the clear plastic to show through the paint.
Lastly, Joytron is a Korean company that is new to the US market. Included with your package is a notice that informs you that if you send them the links to 5 reviews you have published online and they deem your reviews (and I quote) "acceptable", they will send you a free product of your choice. This, according to them is to spread the word about their company. Sounds more to me like bribing customers to write wonderful reviews that will get an untapped, unsuspecting pool of customers to buy their products.
It may be that my case was an anomaly and the majority of other cases do not have this problem. However, I don't want another product from them (my review is probably not "acceptable") and I wanted to let people know that they are probably seeing biased reviews.

I just received this system skin in pink for my DS Lite today and it fits perfectly with no more unsightly fingerprints! :) It doesn't slip off and removal is relatively easy. They don't sell all of the colors here on amazon, but you can go to their website and find green, pink, blue, black, and clear (or white?).

Ever since I got my Nintendo DS Lite last Christmas, I have been searching for a fashionable, but functional hard case for it. I have looked in many Gaming shops, major retail stores, and all over the internet as well. Then I came across the Joytron system case for DS and just loved it.
I got the pink one The color is great and the metallic sheen is even greater!
The design is simple and easy to use and it will not at all interfere with the DS ports, slots and switches. The skin is not bulky at all like some cases I have seen so it gives you a nice sleek appearance. Also, since it's an easy snap on and off design, you don't have to worry about it damaging your DS and if you get another one of the great colors Joytron has you can switch colors whenever you want.
I ordered this case on the 31st of July and 4 days later, it was waiting on my doorstep when I got in from school. I was very surprised on how quick it got to me so I was very pleased with the seller as well. The fact that the shipping was free was even better.
Overall, I will be recommending this case to friends and anyone else who was in my situatuation waiting for the right case to come along. I will be ordering again.
