5 out of 5 stars ENJOYABLE GAME   April 3, 2008
I purchased this game for my 12 year old granddaughter for Christmas.

This game was on her "wish list" and she was thrilled that I got it for her. She ran for her Nintendo DS and popped the game in and immediately began to play it.

She said she especially liked the grooming and care taking of the horse and the riding activities. She didn't care for the "interaction" of the other computer people, though.

I'd say this game is a good one to get because she didn't get "bored" with it and she played with it a lot over the holidays.

5 out of 5 stars Great Game   January 18, 2008
This was yet another present for my daughter's birthday, and is a wonderful game for any child who loves animals. She considers this one of her favorite DS games, and would recommend it to all.

2 out of 5 stars tough game   January 2, 2008

In this game, you have to go through a week of training, with 4 subjects a day. There's 8 classes in total. It's tough to plan a schedule so that you can pass all your classes. Not only is creating a good schedule hard, but the classes are harder. In order to do 1 of the classes, you have to read a lot, and that gets boring. The horse is hard to control, too. When you have to clean the horses stall, when I touch one corner, the opposite side reacts, making it too difficult to do, and its not the ds--the same thing happend on a new ds. I am generally good at games and I still can't get past the first week because of its tough schedule. Also, I think it's ridiculous that you would fail a class because you couldn't find some girl's book and a sandwich for some janitor. That shouldn't make you fail school over all. You have to get perfect in ALL of your classes just to get to the compitition. The game is so hard I haven't been able to finish the first week. This game should have been much better planned out, and I hope the second one dosen't have the same flaws that the first one did.

4 out of 5 stars A good challenge   September 11, 2007

First of all I want to say that this game is not for a small child. It is fairly difficult to understand and requires good reflexes. I liked it for about the first and second weeks I played it, but after that, it got quite frustating and boring.

Pros:
-Good graphics
-Nice challenge
-Not just grooming, you actually ride and steer your horse
-Wide selection of breeds and foals to choose from
-You get to train cute little foals

Cons:
-Very difficult to walk to doors as a human
-No tutorial, just alot of reading
-Very repeatitive after the second week
-Frusturating when you just barely pass the week but you have to start over again, it even erases your foals
-The things you have to do, such as: training, jumping, and grooming are always the same and they get boring
-I, personally, had trouble with the amount of time they give you to read books
