Love this game June 20, 2008 This was a purchase for my daughter. It came before scheduled arrival date. She has really enjoyed play this game.
Alot better than animal crossing ds(aka. wild world) April 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I paid $10 for this masterful game at a local pawn shop and I don't loath buying it for these good reasons.... 1) it doesn't run on real-time(thank you EA!!!),the reason this is good is unlike most kids I don't get to play my DS lite every day(I only on the weekends)so i don't have to worry about missing anything in the game during the weekdays. 2) the world in mysims is allot bigger the in AC:WW which makes it allot to explore and discover(side note; with WI-FI AC:WW is allot bigger, maybe, I don't have a WI-FI usb connector,a wireless-G router,or even a computer with internet access of my own)(i'm using my moms/the stores computer to write reviews). 3)And finally mysims has a generous amount of mini-games(like a tennis type game, paragliding (my personal favorite),and a couple other fun mini games . Note: that IGN and others like them would say buy animal crossing for the ds instead of mysims, but if your like me then ignore them and get mysims. signed sir drusel (take that IGN!!!!)
rly cutee pictures=] April 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
dah graphics were rly cutee and pretty.totally great!at first wen playing dah game,it was rly fun.yu get to buy stuff at stores and walk around dah neighborhood talking to ppl.yu could also go fishing.if yu kno dah game animal crossing,it's almost lik that.yu hav your own house and can decorate it too.but maybe i'm lik that,i dunno,i got bored after a while.yu should try and play this game, maybe yu'll lik it rly much.but it's mostly for gurls, cuz of all dah cute graphics.
Bleh March 31, 2008 This game has been sooooooooooooo boring so far. They mayor continuously tells you to do things and more tourists will come and businesses will thrive and so on and still the pace of the game never changes. Money is way too easy to come by so there is no excitement in filling your house with pretty things since it is so easy to do. Making the tourists happy is extremely easy, really the only thing that is enjoyable are the mini games but they are definitely not worth the $30 this game cost I'm going to give the game a few more hours in hopes that maybe at some point it will pick up before I go trade it in :-(
Great if you like Animal Crossing February 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a big fan of Animal Crossing:Wild World. When MySims DS was released, I was attracted to the cute graphics. I now prefer MySims to AC:WW. The gameplay is deceptively simple in the beginning, but as the game advances, the tasks become more complex.
Your task is to restore a vacation spot to its former glory. To that end, you will meet and assist : the mayor, her son, a police officer, several shop keepers (florist, general store manager, tailor, baker, furniture maker), a fisherman, a ship captain, three park rangers, casino workers, a pilot, and an aristocrat. As you meet and assist these residents, mini games are unlocked (racketball, 3 locations; paragliding, 2 locations; making leis, casino games, fishing, 4 locations; scuba diving, and skydiving.
These mini games are fun, but Scuba Diving (Star Level 4) and Sky Diving (Star Level 5) take a great deal of time to unlock.
I found the graphics, the mini games, and the evolving character storylines to be captivating. I also found the tasks (like filling the fish book) to be somewhat challenging.
This game seems simple, but the first impression is deceptive. There is more to MySims DS than meets the eye.
