Product Description Did you know Nintendo DS was magic? It is now, as Master of Illusion first teaches users how to perform incredible magic and card tricks, then acts as an assistant as they perform for others. You'll meet a magic store clerk named Barbara who'll walks you through various modes as you learn and perform tricks. Only a small percentage of the tricks are open at the beginning of the game, but as you practice and master tricks, more and more will open with the help of Barbara and a host of guest magicians who teach and perform for you! Master of Illusion contains step-by-step tutorials on more than 20 different tricks, allowing budding magicians to master the nuances of performance long before show time. Tricks use all facets of Nintendo DS - magicians will draw faces that speak the name of the audience's card, or audibly instruct a dog to fetch a selected item. There are also several solitaire games for downtime between performances. Many of the tricks are auto-performing, so users will be wowed long before they learn how it's done. Once they do, they can hand the DS off and watch others be amazed as well. Pick up Master of Illusion and discover an entire magic show in the palm of your hand! ESRB Rated E for Everyone

Illusion is right. February 25, 2008 2 out of 14 found this review helpful
Illusion is right... this is a one time play for most. Hard to show others and a waste of money.
One of the best games!! December 27, 2007 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
I am almost 15 years old and I love this game. I have been playing it for 3 days now and it is one of the best DS games I've ever played! I've unlocked a couple of tricks, but there are still a lot to go. I love doing cards tricks on my own and this game makes it even better! They give you a special deck of cards and once you know the secret to them, they are really fun to trick your friends! In the game there are 3 game options, you can do Solo Magic, Magic Show, and Magic Training. In Solo Magic the DS shows you tricks that are mind boggling! Some of the tricks use the cards they gave you. In Magic Show they teach you how to do tricks and then you can show your friends and then you get stars (part of your ranking) for doing them. In Magic Training you can test your magic skills and improve them. This game is a must!! The only problem that I had with this game was one of the games in Solo Magic called Mystic Breeze, for some reason it never gets the calender I pick, if anyone knows what to do, please help me!!
Master of Illusion is super fun! December 20, 2007 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
I'm a professional magician, and over the years, performing magic has lost some of the... "magic". This game brought me back to the days when it was exciting and fun! It reminded me of a time when I couldn't wait to show my friends and coworkers my latest effect. There are so many great effects on this cartridge. While many of them use similar methods, the graphical presentations make them appear to be very different and unique.
My favorite effect on it so far is "Funny Face"... they mix up the deck and select a card, placing it facedown without showing you. On the DS, you draw a face, which upon completion, becomes animated and says the name of their card.
If you have an enjoy magic, (no matter your level of experience), you will get a lot out of this! The only challenging aspect of performing these tricks is memorizing all the secrets. But like any good magic trick, that is simply a matter of practice.
Master of Illusion is one of my top picks for the DS
Perfect for Magicians December 12, 2007 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
This is a steal. The deck alone is worth the price of the game. The interactive games are fun. The magic tricks are easy to do so you can concentrate on your performance. Tenyo and Nintendo together are GREAT!!!
