A sharp contrast to Rockband June 29, 2008
Basically, GH3 is for hardcore rhythm game fans. Many knock the game for the things it doesn't share with RB(full set of instruments, less dowloadable content) I will celebrate the differences. You wouldn't want 2 of the same game out there. GH3 is much more difficult than RB and offers more guitar centric tracks(for obvious reasons) Suprisingly, GH3 out trumps RB in forms of difficulty progression and actually telling a story. In RB you basically play songs in different locations until you see the end credits. I didn't even realize the last song of the game was the final song because it was just as difficult as the rest of the songs. You won't make that mistake in GH3. The final 3 songs are probably the hardest time ive had with the genre( even on normal) and the Dragonforce song that plays during the credits is unbelievable. I like the story in GH3. I wont spoil it but you basically go from rags to riches to infamy. All in all, at some points the game seems too hard and the play list is kind of hit or miss. All in all GH3 is worth a buy if you find RB too easy.

guitar hero 3 has all the classic songs on it and has awesome grafics and has the real voices of the people who wrote it!!
Fun for ALL April 15, 2008
This product is awesome. I purchased this product for my 10 year old daughter. Her older sisters who are 17 play this game for hours if I let them. Her younger sister who is six also loves this game. I am 45 and think it also lots of fun and can really see why the kids love it. You can play it with the additional Guitars or without. We have both and depending on your style is your game....

Just wanted to throw in an important fact. Don't buy the GAME ONLY unless you already own a GH guitar. I went and bought both GH 2&3 thinking I could use my Rock band Guitar. Your RB guitar will not work with any GH games!!! Now I have to spend more money for a guitar, when I tried to save money. Great Game BTW!
Very fun game March 8, 2008
This is an excellent party game and overall has pretty good variety. If you purchase all of the songs in the store you end up with probably like 75 songs to play. Youll have even more if you download off of live. This is a very good party game and playing solo is really fun. If you have a 360 you should buy this.
