Worth every penny!!! April 23, 2008 I've being looking for an accessory that gives me a good grip for holding my ds and something that make the ds louder. I wasn't even looking for this accessory when I ran into it, but I'm glad I did. First of all, this grip doesn't give you a good grip, it gives you an amazing grip, like if you were actually holding a ps2 controller or something. Second of all, the speakers are at least 50% louder than the original speakers on the ds lite and that's a really good thing because they didn't make the speaker on the ds lite loud enough. The only thing I didn't like is that it uses 2 AA batteries, but then again it's worth it because it make the speakers significantly louder. Overall, probably the best accessory out there for the ds lite that you can get. I recommend this product to anyone who owns a ds lite. BTW, white matches perfectly with my while ds lite :). And also, I'm a guy (the name that appears on top is someone else :P).
Great grips April 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a male and have a hard time playing the ds for extended periods of time without a set of grips on it. This product feels great and makes playing games alot easier for me.....the speakers are amazingly good, much better than I expected. They add a fun dimension to the games without having to put a headset on. The only problem I have encountered with this product is that it can be hard getting the games in and out with the grips on. Other than that, I highly recommend this product.

Best grip I've found August 27, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
If you've played DS for more than ten minutes, you might have noticed that while it's a lot of fun, it isn't very well weight-balanced. The lack of hand space on the bottom section lends itself to top-heaviness. I often found myself accidentally pressing the L or R buttons while trying to reposition my hands for better comfort.
I looked and looked and looked and had a hard time finding a grip that worked for me. Sure, there's plenty of "protective" skins and cases, but nothing that really solved the comfort issue.
This one is near perfect. The handles extend just right so that the entire contraption feels more like you're holding a PS2/3 or Xbox controller- much more comfortable.
The grip attaches securely, while still allowing access to the buttons and jacks- including power and audio. If you don't want to use the built-in grip speakers (in favour of headphones, for example) you don't have to. In fact it's very easy to switch. Also, you can quickly detach the screen portion of the grip in order to close the DS.
My only complaint is minor, at best: The stylus slot is blocked. This just seemed silly to me because they easily could have put a hole in the grip to accommodate the original stylus slot. Or even better, they could have put a separate stylus slot into the grip itself. If you're clever, though, I'm sure you'll find a workaround.
As for suggestions for further improvement, they could offer additional colours. While the grip matches my wife's white DS perfectly, it makes my black DS look a little goofy. Also, some rubber surfaces on the grips would make this a perfect product.
Pretty Decent Grip August 9, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This grip is very nice for people who have big hands or get joint pain after playing the DS for an extended period of time - and believe me, I did. It feels like your DS is inside a controller, rather than being super tiny. The DS Lite fits snugly inside it, and you can still access all the buttons. However, you cannot get out the stylus while the DS is in this grip. The speakers are significantly louder than the DS's normal ones (it replaces them), but it should be noted that they take AAA batteries.
