5 out of 5 stars Copperhead Mouse: I'm a believer   October 25, 2008

Ever play First Person Shooters, or have an application that you just can't seem to manipulate quick enough or you don't have enough fine mouse control to make your editing easier?

I have had this problem for a long time and going in and adjusting all of my mouse settings depending on what application or game I was playing was a hassle and quite frankly a pain.

I absolutely love this mouse. It was very easy to adapt to this mouse and the fact that I can change the sensitivity on the fly as the setting are kept on the mouse and not on the computer make my computing life much more enjoyable. For editing I click on the DOWN DPI button and now I have fine control for pixel editing or in my First Person Shooters (FPS) I click a few times on the UP DPI and I have super fast reactionary control and can adjust hiher or lower on the fly.

I highly recommend this mouse to any gamer, music, movie, picture editors out there. If all you do is use applications such as Office software I do not recommend this mouse as you can get away with a $10 mouse.

Gamers and editors should note that the fit of the mouse is intuitive and comfortable and does not add to fatige of long gamming sessions or editing sessions.

I give this 5 stars as I have used a lot of other mice and this is by far a superior product!

1 out of 5 stars Nice before it started double clicking   October 20, 2008
Just a few months after ownership, this mouse started randomly double clicking when single clicks were intended. Adjusted double click speed to the slowest but no change. Searching the problem found many users with the same complaints--even with mice that were returned under warranty. Unfortunately, Razer needs proof of purchase for claims...even though the serial number would probably confirm the mouse was made in the past 2 years. For a high end mouse, this is not acceptable. I think I will just stick to a MS mouse--those things are workhorses.

5 out of 5 stars Near Endless Use   October 6, 2008
I've had this mouse for over 2 1/2 years and it finally gave me a reason to go out and buy another one, and the new is going to be the exact same mouse because this thing has been so reliable, so precise, and so quick for me.
The middle mouse button appears to have sunk into mouse or has fallen off it's track so I'm gonna be forced to order another one.

Either way, I've never used a better mouse, who needs wireless anyway? This is perfect for gaming and casual computer use.

I ordered the copperhead and received the diamondback. A good mouse but not the one i wanted. I didnt return it cause i needed a good mouse in a hurry and i figured it could take another two weeks to get the copperhead.

4 out of 5 stars Allowed me to take out more dudes   August 7, 2008
Definitely improved my skills in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 when compared to my USB optical mouse. It wasn't a miraculous quantum leap but it was a definite improvement. My shooting accuracy went from around 20-25% (no, I wasn't real good at Vegas 2 to begin with) with the USB mouse up to around 30-35% on average with the Razer. Also, it takes some tweaking of the settings and a few gaming sessions of test driving to get the mouse just right for you.

I didn't give it 5 stars because I don't totally like the ergonomics of the mouse as much as just a plain old regular Dell or HP standard mouse. The Razer feels too long and low for my hands. Also the right side buttons aren't positioned very well (they're used for changing the sensitivity in-game). Also, $50 isn't exactly a bargain for such a simple device.

Overall, I'm happy with the mouse. Like I said, I became a better, more accurate player(about a 20-30% improvement in my accuracy) in Vegas 2. However, don't expect this mouse to perform miracles.
