Noddy is a CGI animated, PBS series that takes place in Toyland, a magical community populated by toys that are committed to friendship, respect, caring, and cooperation. The ever-friendly Noddy is a toy doll who loves to help others, so when an argument arises over who will lead the Toyland Annual Parade in "The Toy Town Parade," Noddy helps his friends realize that it doesn't matter who goes first as long as everyone gets to participate. Noddy's sense of inclusiveness leads him to welcome the legless Wobblyman as a player on his soccer team in 'Toy Town's Winning Team," but his teammates are upset when Noddy's gesture threatens to cost their team a victory. What Noddy and his friends soon learn is that everyone has a special talent. The pressure is on when Mr. Sparks tries to fix the broken town clock in "Mr. Sparks and the Broken Clock"--can a little inspiration from the resourceful Noddy help the floundering Mr. Sparks repair the clock? We love the Noddy cartoons we watch on PBS. My nearly 3-year-old daughter is mesmerized by the colorful characters and I don't find the music or voices irritating like other children's programming. Repeat viewing is not a problem until after several consecutive hours!! There is nothing offensive and the creators of the Noddy series try to make it educational. If they don't succeed with education at least the adventures Noddy has usually have a nice moral or lesson to teach.
I was hesitant to buy the DVDs since the descriptions were not clear on what was on them. We received them (all three currently available) yesterday as a gift so I want to share just what is included and what is not.
This DVD is 62 minutes in length and contains the following episodes: 1.) The Toy Town Parade, 2.) Toy Town's Winning Team, 3.) Mr. Sparks and the Broken Clock, 4.) The Balancing Act and 5.) Noddy's Family Tree. It also contains several Say It With Noddy segments with Whiz. I'm not a big fan of this section of the Noddy series, but the kids don't mind it. Naomi from the PBS show is NOT present. My daughter likes to immitate her British accent and I think she adds something to the experience since the cartoons don't have accents, so I miss her. I absolutely love the music videos, but this disc contains only the 'Noddy Will Lead the Way' song. I feel that all the Noddy videos should have been there since they are so short.
Overall we're happy with the disc. We'd recommend it to anyone who watches the series in the US since I can't vouch for the format in other countries. A fourth DVD will come out in a couple months and I plan to purchase that one!

My son loves this show, too bad this is the only dvd out there. very enterteining and it dont inoy me to listen to over and over again.

Great educational movie for children any age. Noddy teaches children different languages, manners, and makes them understand the differences between whats good and bad.
