Product Description You wake up one day, turned into a Pokemon. This land is being ravaged by a natural disaster so you decide to form a rescue team with a partner Pokemon. As a Pokemon, you can interact with many other different Pokemon on various missions while trying to uncover their true purpose and destiny. An engrossing story of adventure, redemption and, most of all, friendship. Numerous Pokemon can become your friends and can be called upon to join your rescue teams. Converses with other Pokemon for the first time using engaging graphics with various Pokemon expressions, accept various missions and try to help Pokemon in trouble. Go into many dungeons and strategically make your way through many floors. The layout of the dungeons is randomly generated, so they present a different challenge every time. Strategy and thinking are the keys to clearing the dungeons and completing the missions. Many rescue missions to conquer even after the main story reaches its climactic conclusion. The game starts off easy and advances in difficulty as it progresses. It will appeal to novice and expert Pokemon fans alike. For the first time, a Pokemon's moves can be linked and used together in one turn. This feature offers the player a strategic choice of attacks and is an entirely new concept in the Pokemon world.

great game!!!!! March 21, 2008 I think that every pokemon fan should have this game. In the game, you wake up one day as a pokemon, and another pokemon wants you and him to form a rescue team. together, you go into dungeons and save lost and hurt pokemon. Occasionally, a pokemon will offer to join your team. Its really fun, and you never know what's going to happen next. There are brand new items, that you can not find in other pokemon games. It is a unique game.
Twas ok February 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is pretty stupid because you cannot catch pokemon which is one of the biggest things in pokemon. The pokemon dont evolve either and my kids never play the game.

Bought this for my 8 year old, she's bored with it and I got it for her less than a year ago. I guess with all the new Pokemon games lately this one isn't that great!
Fun, but gets old after a while... January 5, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ok. So, I got this as a present, and I've been a Pokemon fan for a while and I was pretty excited. This has it's own Pros and Cons, so I'll go over both.
PROS -AMAZING story line. For the Pokemon company, I was impressed. Usually the story lines of their movies and other games are a bore, but PMD is a different situation. Very exciting, plus humorous. I found myself laughing in my chair at one point, and my parents looked at me weird. -The personality test was a great feature. Based on the answers you chose, the game chooses the best Pokemon you'd be. This can be a bad thing sometimes, because you may end up with a Pokemon you really don't like, but you can always turn off the power. -As I said before, FUNNY! -Once the story plot is over, there's TONS more to do.
CONS
-Graphics aren't the best, but they don't majorly suck or anything. Still, disappoint there. -Dungeons are practically all the same...and they get extremely boring. -Lastly, after you finished the game once, you lose interest in the game.
Challenging and a Lot of Fun! December 25, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is my favorite Pokemon game set so far (coming from a 26-year-old female gamer who owns at least one copy of nearly every Pokemon video game that has ever been made). It is FAR more of a challenge than the normal games (like Diamond/Pearl). Pokemon moves in these games have more to them than just type, power, and PP. They also have a range, which adds a whole new element to playing the game and building good teams. Damage from attacks also works a bit differently. Ground attacks will not hit flying types (just not for as much damage), so imunities don't mean as much as they do in the normal games. Terrain and weather were improved for these games, as well. There is a wealth of items to use, and they are pretty plentiful in dungeons.
In short, this is a game that will take a while to complete, and finishing the game's initial storyline is only the beginning. You certainly won't finish every task in a week using that super-powerful starter you probably used to beat Diamond/Pearl. This game will require more training, thought, and strategy to complete every task.
I definately recommend getting a guide to use while playing the game, but it's difficult to say which guide is better to buy. Personally, I like the Nintendo Power guide better because it gives information about the items commonly found in each dungeon (while the Prima guide wastes that space stating the blatently obvious about the dungeon's Pokemon), gives more information about the starters, gives MUCH more info about Friend Areas, and it's Pokedex is better written and less redundant. However, Prima's guide is the only one with information about TM compatibility (and a poster in the back, if you care about such things). Neither one gives dungeon Pokemon levels or in-depth dungeon item appearance statistics.
If you are looking for an easy Pokemon game, this is not the best choice for you. If you beat Diamond in a week or less and dream of something that might actually challenge you a bit, give this a try. (If you have a DS, I recommend Blue over Red, as the second screen makes a great place to keep your level map, and there are a few more wireless features in Blue that are not in Red.)
