Repairs and replacement are A+! May 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm sure everyone knows about the DS Lite - it's a great little machine. But with kids using them, they break. Nintendo support has been absolutely great in repairing and replacing my units.
I bought three DS's (one for each kid) and then I bought a fourth so I could keep one for myself. With three young kids, though, one of the units is almost always getting broken or lost (through misue - not through any fault of the manufacturer). With this system, I lend my DS to the child with the broken one and send that one back. Within 2 weeks I get a new one back, and sometimes they don't even charge me, even if it has water inside or was dropped!
They are excellent support people on the phone, they are kind and understanding, and even though my kids pulled the serial number stickers off the back (they won't do it again, but they love to pull off stickers and didn't know how important those particular sticker were), Nintendo replaced my unit for free.
I can't say enough good things about their support.
Keeping altzheimers at bay May 8, 2008 The mystery and brain teaser games that you can buy for this system are AWESOME. My son and I play the mystry games at night before he goes to bed. Uses our brains, and gives us lots of bonding time! It levels the playing field as well ... he is 11 yrs old, I am NOT, and we are able to both contribute to the correct answers equally.
Grand kids baby sitter. May 4, 2008 Bought 4 of these for my grand children. 3 girls, 1 boy. They trade games, write to each other, not a dull moment anywhere.
As you can see, I also drive school bus. Many of the students have these in the grade school and middle schools. Keeps them in their seats, and busy for the 40 minutes on the bus each day. 10 stars if I could give them. They are constantly trading games.
Nintendo DS Lite Cobalt and Black May 2, 2008 Purchased for grandson's 10th birthday. It has more features then I knew. My grandson had requested it and just loves it. One of the features that he likes is talking to a neighbor or someone on his school bus. I also bought the Chihauhau game (he personaly has a Chihauhau dog) and he likes the game, too. So, this was a good buy; it works very well and so far we have no complaints.
Nintendo DS does not disappoint May 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought this for our daughter's 9th birthday to replace the GameBoy. She just loves it! It has better graphics and can play so many great games. A huge step up. She also likes that she can play her old GameBoy games on it.
