AT-ST is big and bad! May 18, 2008 The LEGO Imperial All Terrain Scout Transport, first unveiled in Episode VI, is a BIG Lego model. The point of getting it was 1) revisiting those great Star Wars adventures, and 2) having a family activity in building it.
It's Star Wars! The bigger these models are, the more 'real" they seem. And this walker has over 1,000 pieces and stands over 16 inches tall. It's not a toy to be played with. It is a model to be displayed. Thus, it is a "revisiting" of the original Star Wars.
There are some models with a thousand pieces that seem to build themselves, it is so easy. This particular model took a number of hours. The instructions come in two books, a 74 page and a 54 page set of instructions (the legs, and the body). It is a great 2 person project, because one person can complete one leg while the other is working on the base of the body, and then you can switch jobs. I'd say there is 4-5 hours here.
It is a nice model, a bit on the wobbly side, but that's because it is heavy. It looks like a AT-ST, and not just like a Lego model of one. This is a good model to add to your Star Wars collection.

Fantastic set from Lego. Great for kids or any age collector!!! Superb detail and a must have for Star Wars buffs.
Great for display .... but not for play January 20, 2007 7 out of 18 found this review helpful
My son loves playing with the Lego Star Wars sets but this one was a disappointment. He enjoyed assembling it and it is a fine looking piece but it does not stand up by itself and the top is easily disconnected. It's really only for display so be forewarned. Also comes with no Star Wars figures unlike many of the others. A rare Lego disappointment.
Lego AT ST January 14, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is a great lego set. It is very detailed, and is much larger than it seems in pictures. It has many moving parts, and amazes me every time I look at it. However, it is fragile, and a bit wobbly. It is more for display than for play. It looks so great on a table, however, that any star wars fan would love to have it in his or her house.
