I bought these for my DS, and I use them once in a while. They're okay in a pinch, but I must have small ear canals cause they hurt my ears.

3 out of 5 stars Bad earbuds, but good price.   August 9, 2006
5 out of 5 found this review helpful

To start off this review, I'd like to say that these earbuds aren't of great quality...but if you will settle for mediocre earbuds, they are a great deal.
First off, Intec, when making game accessories, is sort of a "cheap" company. The quality isn't very good. It isn't that the products, like minor accessories, aren't good for middle classmen, but if you were to buy something big, like a Nintendo DS (they don't make them, but I'm just using that as an example) you wouldn't want to buy it from them.
So these earbuds...well, if you were looking for ones that had surround sound, noise cancellation, all that fancy stuff, you won't really find it in this package. All there is, is a STANDARD pair of earbuds that retract for easier storage. I own a pair of these earbuds, but you cannot adjust the volume or mute it, like it says in the discription, unless you use the actual unit you're playing it from to adjust the volume (example: Nintendo DS).
I bought my pair from "Toys R US", me being a little embarrassed to actually go there for ones that fit my budget, and I got my earbuds for around 5 dollars. It saves time and money just to get it on clearance there, than from amazon, where you have to pay shipping and wait 2 to 6 days. The only reason I got it, was because I need earbuds that I can store in my pocket without finding it again all tangled up in knots. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, and I didn't get anything fancy, but I am still happy I got it, since they...:

1. Fit my budget- Get it at Toys R US, for clearance, and you can get it for around 5 bucks.
2. Retract- Now I don't have to untie all the knots when I want to listen to music. (Note: When retracting and pulling out the earbuds, pull on BOTH ENDS, otherwise you'll get some knots.)

But there are also some bad parts about it too:

1. They don't stay in my ear- Whenever I am eating, or moving my jaw up and down, they fall off. Too bad Intec didn't include some foam to cover the earbuds, because they are uncomfortable without them.
2. The sound quality is... well, it isn't BAD, but it isn't GOOD either.
3. The cord length isn't very "legthy"- it only extends to about
29 1/2 inches, only about 2 and 11/24 feet at the most. Its decent, but don't count on sharing with friends...

But OVERALL:

If you want good earbuds with all that fancy qualities, these earbuds aren't what you're looking for. But if you're just an average gamer who hates dealing with knots and an empty wallet, look no further- this is what you're looking for.

Conclusion:

These are decent earbuds with an attractive price. I hope I made my point clear enough.

These are suppose to be for kids- they are really big- more for an adult ear.

2 out of 5 stars Ouch! >.O   March 21, 2005

Ouch! If you have somewhat small ears, these are not good at all! They fit someone with an ear shaped like this >> O They're too big for the inside of your ear, but if you happen to have a large inside of your ear, these should fit fine. They didn't work for me, but they might for you. Good luck and enjoy.
