serious business July 4, 2008 This wheel feels like serious business. Wide grip under the hands and heavy, doesn't feel like a flimsy toy. Lots of buttons. Affixes firmly even to my oddly shaped desk. Takes a bit of tinkering and experimenting to calibrate the game (GRID) to work well with this wheel. A little small in diameter, could have used a little instruction manual on how to secure the wheel to the desk.
nice wheel May 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
very nice racing wheel. it has worked with all of the racing games i have tried so far, including gran turismo on the ps3. the steering, shifting, braking and gas are very precise and adjustable. good compromise between the cheap wheels and the all out expensive wheels.
Seemed good, but wasn't... May 7, 2008 I purchased the Logitech MOMO FF Wheel back in December for online SIM racing. After multiple attempts to install and then uninstall and reinstall, I was able to separate the axis for the gas and brake pedals. The force feedback was very nice; however, on the whole, I think that they cheaped out when they made this unit in production. Here it is May, and the brake pedal no longer works. I did not use this unit daily until about 2 weeks ago, so it is not from being overused. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and nothing would fix it, so I tore it apart last night and there is no reason for it to not be working.
Likes: -Force Feedback - Adjustable to 150% - Provided realistic driving. -Rubber Wheel - Nice grip and feel to the wheel itself made for comfortable driving. -Shifters and Programmable Buttons - Convenient -Profiler - Ability to profile up to (I believe) 20 games
Dislikes: -Cheapness of pedal materials -Installation -Very little use and now not working correctly -Inability to get help from Logitech when at their site
Overall, I think it was just a cheap version of their original and I would not purchase it again.
Perfect sincronism with computer April 14, 2008 Very good sensibility , I don't use much but I liked very much. Only problem is that it's incompatible with PS2 game console... need other wheel to it. :-\
Great wheel with some minor flaws March 26, 2008 Overall, this is a great wheel, one of the best for the PC without going to the very expensive 900 degree wheels.
Feel - the wheel feel is excellent and durable. This is my second one of these - my last was still in good condition after three years of reasonable use.
Feedback - the Momo has great feedback for most games. I personally wish it were a little stronger, but it is adjustable and feels good - not cheap, weak and 'plastic' like some other wheels out there.
Mounting - The mounting has been good for me - I have mounted on multiple surfaces including two 'race chairs', and never had any issues.
Downsides - The pedal feel is not so good. Also even this new one has the issue of mine from years ago - if you put full pressure down and then some sideways, this 'increases' the output of the pedals, and then you can't get 'full power' again unless you reset your game\wheel\settings. This is a design flaw in that the pedal can actually move sideways a little. I was surprised that this new wheel had the same problem of one a few years old. This can be dealt with though by adjusting your games or just making sure you don't push with side pressure - not a huge issue, just a pain sometimes.
Overall this is a good product, and out of those I have tried, the best in it's price range for actual feel and feedback.
