My Favorite Game August 21, 2008 Nintendo DS Nintendogs Dachshund & Friends This is my favorite nintendo ds game ever! I love playing it on my friends ds because I can't get on until my birthday. My friend has lab and friends dalmatian and friends and dachshund and friends. I don't know why she has to buy all three because you can only have one if you want to because you can buy all the breeds once you get enough trainer points.I also finally figured out how to walk your dog for a long distance. There is the meter thingy and it shows you how much energy your dog has and if it's meter runs down quickly that means that your dog is tired or depressed. Overall I love this game as I said before.I have a mini dachshund that looks just like the dachshund on the cover, and her name is maggie I love all the dog breeds on the game and hopefully I can get this game for my birthday until then I'll just keep on playing my friend's ds.
Contrary to Popular Belief... July 27, 2008 There is one statement going around about Nintendogs that isn't true. It is a popular belief that you can only unlock new breeds in your game if you connect wirelessly with another gamer player, who has a different edition of the game. This is untrue.
Every time your trainer points increase to a certain amount, you unlock a new breed. A new breed is added to the kennel, for example, when you reach 2,000 trainer points, and again when you reach 4,000.
"Bark Bark!" Translation: "C'mon, Mom! Let's play! June 19, 2008 I used to own this game. My friend borrowed my Chihuahua version but never gave it back. I decided to get this again because I missed it. I got a new version because I wanted to give it a go with new dogs. Actually, it's not here yet...I'm going nuts because of that. I've been reading stuff on it all afternoon. I LOVE Nintendogs to death! My mom would sometimes give me weird looks when I would talk to my dogs but I loved them anyway. My step-mom thinks it looks dumb, but maybe I can change her mind...I really liked looking up advanced tricks and then trying to teach them to my doggies. The only thing that bugged me was that sometimes my dogs would go all schizo on me and decide they don't remember a thing. That got sooo annoying. I used to have a Cavalier K.C. Spaniel whose name I can't remember right now. I reset or something, but I was sad when she was gone. She was so smart and adorable! I don't know which dog to get first in this game, but all I know is I can't wait for it to come. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go read and obs-er, I mean, educate myself more about this game.
Much Better Then Dogz!! June 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am 14 years old, and I find this game very fun. It is challenging, but not super hard. I love being able to have my own little computerized puppies :-D I really hate Dogz, Catz, ect. They are very childish and isn't very fun :-P I love how in dogs you can eventually unlock all 20 breeds, no matter what you start with. The items and accessories are very cute. The graphics are great in this game, one of the best in DS Lite Games I have ever seen. It is actually good for younger kids, as you have to feed, water, pick up your dogs poo, and groom it. I recommend buying it, your kids will love it ^^
Nintendogs June 5, 2008 Good game...I like the fact that you get to interact with it and actually talk to the dog.
