The graphics really look nice and I also like the in depth "create a player." The game is a lot of fun and you can do a lot. From the Dynasty standpoint, the game is really realistic and the ESPN integration is really cool. The downfall is during the game, you can blow by anyone and dunk on anyone which is not realistic at all. It's quite fun to play, but not realistic. So, if you are looking for the overall most realistic basketball game out there, I would look elsewhere. If you are looking to just have fun and really enjoy a nice basketball game, then I HIGHLY recommend buying it.

I can see how other people may not be into this game, but I really like it. The graphics and presentation are awesome. Some gripe about the framerate, but it's normal in my opinion and you don't really notice it when in the heat of a good game. The ESPN integration is the coolest feature I've seen for anything related to X-Box Live. Live 07 has loads of modes and features, so replay value isn't a problem. And for once, we have insightful commentators! Even non-household names get analyzed, and nothing is outdated ("Shareef played for bad teams early in his career, but finally made the playoffs last year with Sacramento..."). It avoids being repetitive, which is pretty amazing over an 82-game season!
A couple things could be fixed for next year, namely the controls. The new Freestyle control option is really cool, though a bit complicated, and personally I think basketball games should stick with one shoot button (probably at the Y-spot on the X-Box 360 controller). And this game is hard. Most opponents seem like a combination of the real-life Pistons, Spurs, and Mavs. If you fall behind early, good luck pulling off a W. But I like that it's realistic in that teams rarely make comebacks by hoisting trey after trey. The best way to win is good execution.
If you're a true NBA fan, Live 07 is great. If you're not, I can see where some nitpicking could come in. I got this one as a present and I love it. It's a ton of fun, which is why most of us play these things in the first place!

Having high hopes upon purchasing this game at Best Buy, the result was no other than down right disappointing. Compare to 06, this game is nothing but fast-break runs and dunk fest.
1. Shooting and blocking in this totally mess up. Shooting fade way's gets your shot block. The shooting animation looks like robots fling your arm.
2. Impossible to take an offensive charge. After trying 999 times outside the restricted area, I got 1 call, while the other 998 times the guy just dunks over me.
3. The new free throw system will take some time to master. And even if you master it, you might as well just press the B button for auto free throw. Why? Because the free throw rating on each player is all mess up. As Kobe, I can't make consistent free throws, but some how Kwame makes better free throws?
4. Rebounding is a total horror. Offense rebound = 9/10, yet defense rebound = 1/10. A 6'3 PG can grab a rebound from a 6'10 PF or C.
5. FAST BREAK = WIN. Just tweak your gameplay to fast break and you are gold. Once you have the ball, toss to the other end and dunk it.
I totally regret buying this game. I'll now go purchase NBA 2K7. I'm selling this game to my friend for $10.

Look, this game is pretty addicting, especially when you play online. Shots are not impossible, and the computer is pretty easy... When you play online it is really fun. I don't know how the guy a couple reviews below me lost by 45 to Hawks,...he must not be very good. THere are a few couple missed dunks, but this only happens when a guy contests the dunk, and the offensive player is not a great dunk.Just press the y button for layups those almost always go in, yes they don't look as good, but they get the job done. This game is really fun, go get it.

The graphics in this game is great but its wayyy to easy..I'm playing a sesaon in superstar mode and lost only 2 games the whole season, then sweep every team in the playoffs and my wins was like by 30-40 points...06 was at least a little more close to hang with me, this game is totlly way to easy to play
