Metallic Rose no longer a "special" color..... July 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just wish I knew this "Metallic Rose" color would be available as a standard color before I bought it though...I feel a little cheated because I originally wanted the pink but opted to pay slightly more for the "limited edition" factor that made it a little unique compared to the pink. It didn't help that I just bought mine about a month ago either... and only got to be unique for five seconds LOL... luckily I didn't pay that much more but still it stings a little. The little "paw emblem" is not enough to make this version unique, it was the RARE C0LOR it "had" but I learned my lesson, I'll never get sucked into buying something from big companies like this because it's limited or whatever. Once it sells and starts raking in the dough for the company, it will no longer be limited. That's just how big companies are.
As for the Nintendo itself,,,, I love it! I play it all the time and never get anything else done anymore. It's definitely a fun system with lots of game choices available. I am probably addicted to it. I think it's worth the price too... considering how much use I've gotten from it already! I hope they continue making lots of games. I also love the whole touchscreen aspect.
My only complaint is that I think it's stupid that we need to power off the entire machine anytime we do anything or change a setting on the Nintendo instead of just being able to restart it or something. Also, the microphone doesn't seem to work very well. There are certain games that require voice input to play and a lot of them have problems understanding or hearing me correctly or will just cut out sometimes.
NINTENDOGS: The game that came with this system was cute but I could see people getting bored with it quickly. I had fun with it for the first week or two and then I was dying for another game. It was also the only game I had at the time so that helped force me to play it more than I probably would normally. As far as a simulation game though, it's pretty good and could be very close to having a real puppy (but not really of course). My five year old seems to love it so that's that.
Cool DS March 1, 2008 This is my family's first DS. The color is so cool, and the paw print is of a real good quality. Ithought at first it would rub off with time. But its there to stay. The DS came bundled with the Best Friends version of nintendogs. Maybe for some it will get boring after time. But I must say we've had it now since Christmas, and it only gets better. Especially once you get the feel of the competitions. The agility comp's is the easiest and can get you 1000 bucks per win. We just bought our beach house, but they're still renovating. And I'm real eager to move in. After all, it cost us 50,000 dollars. So, we are having real fun with this game. I really recommend this game, if you're a concerned parent who does not want their children to play with those violent and senseless games.
Nintendo DS Lite Metallic Rose Nintendogs January 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this product on Christmas Eve for my nine year old daughter after being sold out online and in stores; it arrived that Friday. The dealer did charge a little more than Toysrus but it was worth it. The product is easy and fun to play with and my daughter loves it. I am very happy with this Nintendo DS and would recommend it to everyone. The shipper was on time with the shipping and I would also recommend purchasing products from them.
my 10 year old daughter loves her DS Lite! January 20, 2008 Great quality game system, we are very happy. It came with Nintendogs, which is an awesome game. Graphics are very high quality and she even chats with her friends and cousins who have DS' with the chat feature. Overall, good purchase, only problem is getting her to stop playing!
adakotarose January 18, 2008 I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and it is a hit. There is so much that you can do on this system. I love that it will still play Gameboy Advance games so that I don't have to go buy new games. The Dogs2 game came with it and it is so much better of a game than I thought it would be. There is so many games inside of it. The DS is lite and light enough to actually see what you are doing. For as lite as it is, it is very durable too. I was afraid the screen would scratch but it hasn't.
