Product Description
You are Travis Touchdown, a normal guy (with an otaku geek streak) who wins a Beam Katana through an online auction and uses the weapon to start a new career as a professional killer. One day, an assassin named Helter Skelter appears before Travis and the two face off in a battle. Travis emerges victorious and finds himself in the presence of Silvia Christel, a mysterious French woman who claims to be an agent with the UAA. Silvia gives Travis official rank of 11 in the organization. Now, it's up to you to become #1. No More Heroes takes place in the city of Santa Destroy, and you are free to explore the town to your liking, taking on missions large and small to collect money and purchase new weapons as you work up towards the 10 main killing contracts. Gameplay is all about using your Beam Katana (via Wii remote) to defeat enemies.

4 out of 5 stars cool, hip, stylized anime-like pop culture american japanese hybrid fun.   October 5, 2008
out of the the wii games i have, this is the most original, although not the greatest, but it is fun once you get going. the graphics are anime style with content that infuses japanese and american pop culture references throughot the game. it's not for young kids due to the graphic violence and sexual inuendos, and its not for the hardcore gamer either. but it is perfect for the occasional gamer like myself who isnt very good at video games, but like to play um anyway. remember the anime sequence from kill bill? thats what this game reminds me of, with lots of american stuff thrown in. i.e. one gang you fight are like the baseball furies from the warriors and i think they might be called the warriors. also, between fighting, you can free roam around town to pick up extra cash and t-shirts from dumpsters ( hmm, i remember doing this in real life- ha ha) and pick up odd jobs here and there. its a very cool, fun game despite what the "pro" reviewers say. if you like anime or pop culture, you will get a kick out of this game. i dig it.

In case Anybody miss it, this game was first planned for the xbox 360,
but the way they implement the use of the wiimote it's what makes this game a must have for any wii owner.

2 out of 5 stars Very Repetitive Game   September 29, 2008

I played this game for about 30 mins and almost fell asleep playing. Its not very exciting doing the same thing OVER and OVER and OVER. I rented the game over the weekend and I am soooo glad that I did not buy this game.

2 out of 5 stars not good   September 28, 2008

controls - run around hitting the "A" button

visuals - looks like a ps1 game

little things that make the game a bit funny - like sitting on the toilet to save the game - get old real fast.

3 out of 5 stars I'm on the fence about this game   September 11, 2008

After playing this game for a few hours and doing some of the boss battles, I kept waiting for the game to really grab me. But it never did. It's somewhat reminiscent of the GTA series with the free roam mode and the crudeness of characters. This game actually sort of reminded me of Kill Bill if you've ever seen the movie. Saying that there is a lot off blood in this game is a drastic understatement. The storyline if fun and the idea is very cool. You are a nobody that accidentally got in to a fight with a guy and killed him. Turns out he was an assassin in a group of assassins that are continuously killing each other to be #1. Obviously you are involuntarily sucked into the game. You have to earn money doing monotonous side jobs or minor assassination missions so you can enter in for the next boss battle. The controls are very clever and the weapon usage is pretty unique. But I just wanted more than the single track, linear game. This game completely lacked variety in my opinion, that's about it. The graphics also looked very poor on a big LCD with and without the component Wii cables. But if you're in to games with unique and fun controls this may be the game for you.
