2 out of 5 stars Pretty good   September 6, 2008
Ok, heres it flat out: Wii isn't that great.
Its over-hyped! Everyone thinks it's great because of the price and motion sensing equipement. The moment i brought this home, I thought, great! This'll be fun! And I ended very disapointed. After playing a sesion of sports, I decided to take a break. One day later, my arms hurt like crazy.I did nothing else to make my arms hurt that day or even a week before. So here it is: It's ok, but don't think it's that great. And don't have it as your only console, so if, and when, you get bored of it you can do something else if it's a rainy day.

3 out of 5 stars Extremely Over-Hyped   September 6, 2008
The best thing that happened to me this year was actually finding a Wii and buying it, or so I thought when I bought. I brought it home and became bored pretty fast. This is what everybody is after? If it wasn't so cheap, it wouldn't be nearly as popular as it is. The Wii remote isn't as advanced as you see on the TV. I was hoping that the motion sensors would actually copy the player's movements, but it doesn't. It just knows when you move and does it's own thing. Not to mention, the graphics aren't as good as the PS3 or 360 and the Wii doesn't release nearly half the games the other two do.

Overall, this is great for families looking for fun with the kids or a cheap system to buy if they can find it. If, however, you are a serious gamer, then this will only be impressive for the first few days. Afterwards, it definitely just isn't that fun. The best game is Super Smash Brothers Brawl and you don't even use the motion sensor in that game. Needless to say, my Wii sits in the corner collecting dust

5 out of 5 stars Crazy fun.   September 4, 2008
There is just something about getting into the game as much as you do with some of the Wii games that can bring out the craziness in people. Lots of laughing is usually involved. We have had the Wii for many months now and the games never seem to get boring. What is great about it is that it can be enjoyed by nearly all ages due to the fact that it can work with minimal effort or you can expend a lot of effort to play the games. I think does a lot for helping develope coordination of hand and eye (and sometimes even feet). It comes with the Sports Game and there are many things you can select to play off of that particular game that will keep you going for a long time. Boxing, Baseball, Bowling, Tennis - all fun. You start by making up your own character (Miis) and this is pretty easy to do. You have all sorts of features to select from to make your character (who will play all these games) look just like yourself.
The system has held up well for us and the controllers are very durable, nothing has broken so far even on one or two occasions where the controller has left a hand and flow across the room (use those wrist straps!) they have continued to work very well. Lots of fun with as much exercise power as you wish to expend on some of the games.

4 out of 5 stars very fun   September 4, 2008
The wii's graphics are pretty good, overall it might be the best thing that Nintendo has to offer. The only thing that stinks is that there are not alot of games for it.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome for casual non-gamer   September 3, 2008
Of course everyone will say that the graphics don't compare to 360 or PS3, duh! But this system is for having fun with other people in the same room, not sitting in a dark basement for hours yelling into a headset mic.
