Product Description Good intel and proper gear are the keys to victory. With the Logitech G15 keyboard, you get both. Now you can easily discover on which server your friends are playing Battlefield 2142, be notified when your World of Warcraft battleground becomes available and know exactly who's talking in Ventrilo with the Logitech G15 keyboard's exclusive GamePanel LCD. You can also create useful macros on the fly that play back with a single press of one of the six G keys. As every key features illuminated characters, with three levels of brightness, you can keep playing late into the night.

Expensive and haven't found much use for the fancy features yet August 21, 2008 I bought a Gateway P-6831 FX gaming laptop and I absolutely hated the position of the Fn key - I wish it were between L ctrl and the Windows Key rather than in the far back left corner. I never got used to it after trying for over two weeks. I noted that I never play games except at home, so I decided to go for a docking station type setup with a laptop cooler, USB hub, this keyboard and a Logitech G5 mouse.
This keyboard layout took a little getting used to. I'm used to having my hand hover over the left side while gaming with WASD. Typing is fine since my hands are better aligned. I would sometimes be hitting the G6 button instead of L ctrl, but after a mistake, it's quickly fixed for the rest of the session. Though, the possibility of making the error at the start of a session always exists.
I haven't found much use for the LCD or G macro keys. I don't even look down at my keyboard and it's resting on a keyboard tray so half the time it's hidden by the desk. I haven't got a feel for the G keys, so I would have to look down to make sure I was hitting the right key. I sometimes missed my esc key and hit G1 and that could cause a lot of problems.
In the end, I disabled the G macro keys, don't even look at the LCD, have the windows key disabler permanently switched on, and use the media key functions instead of the ones found on my laptop. Over 2x the price just for the glow that matches my laptop basically.
Solid Backlit keyboard August 2, 2008 I had been looking for a backlit keyboard for a long time, but most of them seem to be very pricey. I finally found this one on sale for about half off and it's excellent. The key action is very smooth and quiet and the keys feel solid. The backlight is nice and I have no problems reading the keys at night. I have only used the LCD a little bit, but do far it has been very useful. I like the feature to turn off the windows key, who hasn't hit that in a game and been pulled out to the desktop! I'm very happy with the purchase and would buy another.

Awful Keyboard July 24, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Sent this back as defective.Anytime I would play Age of Conan the WSAD keys would bug out and my char would stop moving right. I have a feeling it was due to the poor design of the keyboard with the lights underneath not letting enough pressure hit key.
It's a keeper, but good be better... July 21, 2008 I am in love with the LED back-lighting as I do a lot of work at night and don't care to have a light on. This keyboard is typical Logitech quality; the keys are nice to the touch, not too loud, and have a quick response. The buttons are in the standard layout and size as well. My few quirks with the keyboard are the lack of a volume wheel (much easier to quickly change the volume), the LCD could be slightly larger to fill the space, and the back-lighting can only change brightness, not color (not sure if any keyboards do this currently without a hardware hack). As you can see, these aren't major issues at all, but rather something Logitech can take into consideration for their next model.
