1 out of 5 stars ok if you REALLY like bowling   October 12, 2008
Personally, I'm not that into bowling, but thought I'd try this for a nice family night. Thank goodness I only rented it.
The action is ok, characters are funny and seem to have a nice variety of phrases. The button actions are the same as the Wii bowling, the only big difference was being able to change venues. Not that big a draw for me.
It depends on how much you bowl. My family can only do about 1 game with the short attention spans of our young kids, so having a whole game devoted to bowling isn't for us. We found the Wii Sports was great for our needs, since after the 1 bowling game you can change to a different sport.
So, if you want to start a Wii bowling league, this would be an ok game. For the casual player, I'd say pass & get Wii Sports instead.

1 out of 5 stars amf pinbusters a real bust   August 18, 2008
What a waste of money the bowling that comes with the wii console is far superior. Makers of this game must know how bad it is yet sell it anyway what a rip off.

1 out of 5 stars Save Your Money   August 5, 2008
I bought this game thinking it was going to be fun..I was wrong. The gameplay was terrible and it was a waste of money. Stick with wii sports bowling its the only good bowling game for wii.

2 out of 5 stars This game is so-so and gets boring after awhile....   July 27, 2008
As being a person who bowls in leagues year around, I thought it would be nice to have taste of bowling in my house that goes beyond the Wii Sports bowling. I was looking forward to having to really work up my virtual bowling skills in tournaments to achieve more awards and unlock areas - however this is not the game for that.

This game is more so for fun when you have a couple of your friends over and you want to play a bowling game without having to create a Mii on the Wii for your friends. Now I will say that the characters are boring and they will annoy you if you don't turn down the volume - even the music is cheesy! But come on...this is a game for $20 bucks so out the box you should deem it to be weak in nature.

I will say this - controlling the Wii Remote for this game is the same as when you play the Wii Sports bowling - the Brunswick Bowling which I think has more of the overall skill level play has horrible Wii Remote control. You have to manipulate the Wii Remote in some funky odd sort of way.

So if you looking for something to do when you're just bored out of your mind - Perhaps this game will reel you in for some fun for about 15 to 30 minutes or so.

My edition also came with one free game for up to four people at any AMF Bowling Center - WHOO HOO - Okay I was trying to be sarcastic! lol :-)

1 out of 5 stars Crappy   June 19, 2008
I thought that this game would be fun, after purchasing it I am very wrong. There is nothing about this game that is interesting. The Wii Sports Version is %100 better. To name just a few things that are horriable it does not matter how you move the wii controler because the ball always curves, you cant aim because the people are always in the way, your scores never save no matter what you do and all of the girl characters are wearing next to nothing not a game for little ones. I would not reccomened this to anyone in fact I will tell people never to get this game it is aweful just stick with the Wii sports version.
