it all went too fast August 27, 2008 I loved this game, counldn't put it down. Unfortunately that made it go too fast--I've solved every puzzle in the game and almost all from downloads. Only one download a week just isn't enough, so now I'm bored with it, but when it was new--ahhhh, it was heaven!
puzzles on a different level August 25, 2008 Nice game, brings puzzle solving to a different level. thoughtful, and not a struggle. It is a little hard for my 8 yr old, but he likes to try. together, we can get most of them. better alternative than car racing and shooting the bad guy.
Curious Village August 22, 2008 All but one of the puzzles were solvable to me. I read the solution for the candy text one online and I still think that one is a stretch. Overall this is a fantastic game.
Logic and riddle buffs grab this one!! August 19, 2008 After seeing the sign in GameStop's window for a while, I asked my bro to get this for my birthday. Didn't think it would be as engaging as it was!! 120 puzzles to find (I still need to find 5 more, even though I've beat the game) and the only problem is that it isn't long enough! It's about a 10 hour game, but it leaves the ending opened for a sequel, which I hope will come soon!!! Some of the puzzles (mostly logic puzzles) are really hard. Some are just tricky wording. But the story is very in-depth, great little cut-scenes and characters. Not terribly predictable, though I figured out some things early on, you do get hit with a curveball or two.
Worth the money if you like to think a little when you play your videogames. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 14 or so, unless they are very logical and good at riddles.
Encourages Logical Thinking...and yet fun! August 11, 2008 Fun!!! With my background in hard sciences, I always love puzzles and especially those with logical thinking required. An added bonus is that many times these puzzles, once solved, provide great satisfaction. As an adult I really enjoy this game and often cannot put it down much to my husband's impatience at times! As an educator (although in a university setting), I strongly feel that this is a great game for kids AND adults for encouraging critical thinking (at least for some of the puzzles...others you just need common sense). The characters portrayed in the travels of the Professor and his assistant Luke through the Village are fun, strange and give the background story & mystery an enjoyable escape into the video game world.
