 Not a very good item November 11, 2008
I got this to protect my DS. I was very pleased with it at first but now it is falling apart. My screan is all scratched up so i went on to [...] to see what to do they said i shoulde send it in. All they needed was my product code. So I went to look at my product code but the case was covering it. When I tried to take it off my top screen on my ds almost came off!
If you want to take this case off in the future don't buy it.

I CANNOT BELIEVE NERF ARMOR WOULD BE REVIEWED AT ANY LESS THAN 5 STARS. AFTER MY SON BROKE HIS FIRST DS FROM DROPPING REPEATEDLY, I PURCHASED NERF ARMOR FOR HIS 2ND. HE STILL DROPS CONSTANTLY BUT IT COMPLETELY PROTECTS THE DS. HE PICKS AT THE EDGES AND SOMETIMES PULLS OFF LITTLE CHUNKS OF NERF AND THIS MEANS I NEED TO REPLACE EVERY 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR. STILL, AT ABOUT 15 BUCKS, I AM HAPPY TO PAY IT RATHER THAN DROP ANOTHER 130 FOR A NEW DS.

The Nerf Armor NDSL case lets you protect your Nintendo DS Lite at the right price. Over time I've bought a bunch of these to use for myself and to give as gifts. Hands down, it has become my favorite DSL case. It has many pros and only a few cons.
A case is really required equipment for any DS purchase, and this is one that should definitely be at the top of your list. The original solid color cases, such as the Nintendo DS Black Nerf Armor, are in short supply, but now these bi-color combinations are available.
The biggest issue with this case has little to do with quality. It is simply impossible to consistently find the color combination you want, which is a bigger deal when buying this for your children. Try to be as flexible with the color as you can.
Pros
+ Durable Nerf material provides a nice secure cushion to protect your NDS
+ A great worry free choice for kids
+ Great design leaves open access to your stylus, controls and game slots!!
+ Cool color options including black, blue, pink, white and grey
+ Affordable price point (although I imagine it might go on sale from time to time)
+ Light Nerf material feels good in your hand, a true play-thru case
Cons
- Adds a lot of size due to the thick padding
- Somewhat difficult to remove
- All available colors not listed here on Amazon, and are difficult to find
This case fulfills the two biggest requirements in a game case for your Nintendo DS Lite.
First of all, this Nerf material has some give to it. As such, this case is by far THE BEST when exposed to the drop test. Instead of cracking the case, the cushiony material will bounce slightly and in most cases keep your NDS intact.
Second, this case is well designed with open areas to access ALL those controls, game slots, and key features of your game player. That includes open spots for the headphone jack, volume control, and stylus! My first game case didn't have this feature, and it's taken me 3 cases to land on this one.
The main downside to this guy is the added thickness of the case. At this size, they could have added more extras. Additionally, some colors seem to not be sold on Amazon, namely the grey.
Still, this case does the job at a fair price. The Armor-Lite case by Joytech also has slots for your stuff, and is a lot less bulky. Nintendo DS Lite Armor Lite Case However, that case doesn't provide the same level of protection as the Nerf material does.
If you are like me and protecting your case is priority #1, get this case! If you need something more sleek and less bulky, the clear armor-lite should be on your list.

The case is strong so it really protects your ds but if you're like me and would like to have your hardware in perfect condition (and I mean, without a single scratch) don't buy it. After a couple of weeks of using the case, I decided to take it out to clean my ds and wasn't I surprise with the scratches I found on the top cover. The problem is that the case leaves a little bit of room between the ds and the protector so particles of dust get stuck between both and your ds gets scratched.

I recently purchased a Nintendo DS lite and after watching two games break; one, bottom screen had lines in it so I guess my daughter accidently dropped it and the other one the hinge cracked. So I knew I better get something that would offer protection as well as style. I love everything about this cushy suit of armor except I can't get if off and I have tried, there were no instructions so I had to guess. I almost broke my game trying to free it from this great idea of a product except for this flaw. If anyone has this product please let me know immediately how to get the game out, otherwise I will end up damaging the game as well as my kids with theirs.
