5 out of 5 stars Odd game, but lots of fun!   May 20, 2008
I got this game as a gag gift for one of my friends. What I expected to be a crappy bunch of mini games actually turned out to be a quite amusing experience. Although the game isn't very long, it provided me enjoyment on a long car ride.

3 out of 5 stars Fun for a month. 3.5 stars.   November 23, 2007
It's very intriguing, very fun, very, VERY silly and will keep you glued for AT LEAST a week. In my case the fun extended well over a month. I kept coming back to enjoy the silliness and difficulty. The dark, charcoal-like character models are too cute.

The Rub Rabbits are so silly and the games have tons of variety.

Although I do wish to sell this to anyone willing to pay 10 bucks for it, I've had my fun with it and enjoyed its unique charm. Hopefully, besides the Rub Rabbits, part II will be longer and even quirkier and fun.

They tried I suppose. It was OK for what it was.

Favorite games:

Paint
Parachute
Plant
Dance

3.5 stars.

4 out of 5 stars Uses the FUll Potential of the Nintendo DS!   July 23, 2007
Reviewed for Big Boss Games by: Eschneider6

Feel the Magic exclusively for the Nintendo DS is one of the most creative games made by Sega. It's in a game category by itself. You want to win the girl of your dreams, so you and the group "Rub Rabbits" try performing madcap stunts & rescuing her from danger. These stunts you perform have you rub, touch, shout and blow to complete the stunts and rescues.

This game shows off what the DS can really do if you develop properly for it. I didn't know there was a microphone on the DS until I played this game. Some of the stunts will have you shooting scorpions off her back, creating a sail wind with your breath to rescue the girl, and using the stylus to fill in drawings while avoiding falling people.

With over 17 chapters, this game will take some time, go back and play them again and again to unlock different outfits for the girl of your dreams. Also some Sega games will give you some more items like Sonic Advance games, Chu Chu Rocket, and Space Channel 5 for the GBA. I recommend this game, so feel the magic, and win the girl of your dreams, and start playing today!

My review score for Feel the Magic is 9.0
Legend: Score 1 is throw it out, 10 is a must buy

4 out of 5 stars Japanese quirkiness at it's best   February 14, 2007
This game isn't the best game ever.

BUT, it is fun. You join a team of performance artists to prove to your would-be-girl that you're the guy for her. This leads into a plethora of zany challenges where you do everything from blow out candles to swat bees away from your lady.

The end is a little tough to beat, but the games style and charm easily make up for it.

3 out of 5 stars Fun in a box for a cheap price, how can ya go wrong?   December 29, 2006
Generally over the course of the Nintendo DS's cycle so far, some games have almost tacked-on touch controls as if they realized "oh yeah, this is the DS isn't it? We should add something." Feel the Magic essentially allows you to use the touch screen exclusively and even its microphone and while it probably isn't the deepest game to play, it's sure fun, albeit very short inexpensive fun.

Story: You play a member of some kind of bunny gang who meets a gorgeous girl. You decide to do whatever you can to win her heart. But don't think winning her heart is it as you also have to tend with nature baddies as well as jealous ex's or just really weird guys.

Graphics: They're not exactly showing off the DS but they're quirky, colorful. The graphics also shift to whatever minigame you have to play. The top screen becomes a road you speed down to catch in one game, while in another you might have to swat scorpions off your lady's back. Again it's not technically outstanding but at least you're not going the entire time "god these are ugly."

Sound/Music: Catchy if repetitive music but that's probably expected with this kind of game. There's also the occasional sound bytes such as your woman saying the level out loud ("Plants" or "Scorpion"). The characters though have some pretty hilarious voices such as the saboteurs in the "Painter" game.

The game is essentially one minigame after another. Beating the minigame nets you...I don't know what they're called, heart points? Basically you have to get 100 and beating the minigame gets you a certain amount. Lose the minigame and it'll go down but strangely, there's no game over. You just essentially keep re-trying until you get up to 100. After that it's on to the next scene and a new set of minigames.

The minigames themselves range from fun to quirky to in some cases, outright frustrating. They range from gathering people on your roof and firing them at a getaway van(super fun), to unicycling over tightrope(tense but not hard), knocking stampeding bulls out of the way(kind of fun) to frustrating. One such example was blowing into the microphone so my sailboat can go towards my woman who was in the ocean filled with circling sharks. It's relatively easy but it's so sensitive that I wasn't even breathing and I completely bypassed her. Other games, especially near the end, will probably make you feel like breaking your machine.

Is it a game you'll be playing 2 weeks later like the game won't end a la Final Fantasy III? Or maybe a game with massive replay like Mario Kart? Doubt it but it's fun while it lasts. And hey, it only costs me 10$.
