Product Description Do you love your furry friends? Well, they need a clean environment to live in and you can help give them that with Eco-Creatures: Save The Forest. You use the touch screen to control three kinds of woodland creatures called Ecolis, Ecoby, and Ecomon. Each creature type has unique skills that have to be strategically managed. With proper nurturing, they can evolve to learn new abilities that help complete the game's more than 40 environmental missions. As you grow your army, you must plant new trees to revitalize the woodlands and prevent deforestation. You can also create new maps to play on. Play with a friend with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or up to four players with the Wireless Single Card download play or Multi-Card play.
Plant new trees to prevent deforestation of the woods, earn power-ups that grant enhanced or new abilities, and grow your army of creatures Choose between an enormous array of strategies to defend your homeland from enemies and bosses like the evil Mecha Army Play with friends through local ad-hoc connections or via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection - 2-4 players can play over a local connection or via game sharing with 1 cartridge; 2 players can play via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and see where they rank in an online ranking system Land Make feature lets you build your own maps and invite friends to play in levels you've created

Fun to play. June 25, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a good fun game. Multiplayer was good, too. My son bounces around from game to game, but this one has remained in the mix, though not the most popular one, so solid 4 stars.
Attack, my furry minions!!! June 7, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Eco Creatures is a RTS that is, a real-time strategy. For those that don't know what that means: If you stand still time passes, just like life. Now that we have that down you play as a large furry... well, lets just say yeti, who lives in a forest full of cute furry critters. So, when a nearby kingdom begins bulldozing and polluting your home what do you do? Why attack with hoards of bright pink squirrels of course!
You move around with the D-pad, nearly everything else you control with the stylus. There are three basic types of creatures you can control, each with their own abilities. You level them up with crystals that you gain through beating scenarios. So, start of a level you get goals, a map and losing conditions. Most of the time the goal is destroying particular targets, the map varies, and to lose you get your tree-house destroyed. Every now and then you get a boss.
Those are the basics, and I know it sounds bad when I tell you "It's fun as heck!". Yeah, you heard right. The control scheme works, though things will get in your way when you're trying to select something. The missions are repetitive but different enough to be interesting, and the bosses are everything from easy as pie to AAAGH! hard. The visual style of the game is cute and original, the music is repetitive but doesn't wear on your nerves. It's good.
I don't know why anyone hasn't picked this up, in fact if you like any type of strategy games, say Fire Emblem, then this is for you. I'd even go so far as to say that it's a great kids game, with little to no violence, suggestive themes, or crude humor. The bottom line is, that it's one of the better RTS I've played, and it's only [...]$. Do try this one out.
